Summerlin - Master Planned Community
Summerlin present in the shadow of the spring mountain ranges and the Red Rock Canyon national conservation area, along the western rim of the Las Vegas is a 22,500 acre development.
It has 150 model homes built by 15 builders and includes houses of worship, cultural facilities, business parks, medical facilities, and shopping centers to give its residents an incomparable lifestyle and quality of life. It offers its resident’s wide choice of educational places. Summerlin is also famous for its diverse spirituality, with many places of worship. Nevada’s first Hindu temple is located in Summerlin.
Summerlin is a strong example of environmental friendly community. Preservation of natural drainage system serves double function for use in parks and trails and to maintain natural topography and landscape.
Desert-landscaping was first adopted by Summerlin with an emphasis on low water landscaping. Their future parks will not have waterfalls, turfs in common area will be replaced with desert landscaping, and turfs would be limited just for park use.
