Las Vegas has come a long way from being just
a tourist destination. The city of lights is now a place
that many Americans want to call home. Money Magazine
recently released its 16th annual edition on The Ten Best
Places To Live In America, and the city of Las Vegas
earned the No. 1 Ranking.
The magazine editors surveyed more
than 1,200 cities and chose the top 10 cities. Conclusions were based
on a city's rate of population growth, real estate demand and
local income levels. The city of Las Vegas was also noted as a hot
spot for its strong economy, swinging nightlife and new cultural
venues.
The Las Vegas valley is the fastest growing area
in the United States. According to Nevada state figures, about ten
thousand people every month relocate to the Las Vegas area.
The desert climate, low taxes,
affordable housing costs, excellent job opportunities and the many
entertainment and cultural amenities offered, are some of the factors
prompting growth.
"I am delighted that our
redevelopment dreams are being recognized," said Mayor Oscar B.
Goodman. "Downtown Las Vegas offers an urban lifestyle and all
of the excitement that comes with it. It's great to be
succeeding in revitalizing our more mature areas and that others are
recognizing our efforts."
Here's a comprehensive list of the Las Vegas area communities
that are currently experiencing unprecedented explosive
growth and property value appreciation! Also check our page
